From Thursday’s robocall:

Hello parents and families, this is Mr. Mayer. I hope this continues to find you safe and healthy. We have a couple of important announcements for this coming week:

First: We will be having students come and get their PE clothes, turn in library books and textbooks, pick up any student work teachers return, and drop off Chromebooks for the summer – 8th graders only.  Be sure to bring a bag for your things and your locker combination. Here are the all-important end of year procedures and times;

Sixth graders will come to campus on Tuesday between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm, May 26th; 7th graders should come to the school on Thursday morning, May 28th, between 9:00 am 1:00 pm and 8th graders between 1:00 pm and 4:15 pm on Thursday.

All the County “social distancing” rules and procedures will be in place. Students will stand 6 feet apart on marked tape with a face covering, only one student will be able to go in the locker room at a time, etc. Students who have a key to their own lock should bring their key, or know their combination if possible. If you have more than one student at Claremont, you do not need to come twice – please just choose a grade level that works for your family.

Please see the details – scheduled by student last name– of the exact ½ hour when your child should come to the school end of year procedures.

Second – 8th grade promotions are next week. We will have three different promotions. 8th-grade families – please listen for Mr. Galvan’s robocall tomorrow regarding Promotion.

Third, if you never got a chance to appreciate your teacher two weeks ago during teacher appreciation -it is not too late!  Send a simple, heartfelt note of appreciation to your teacher.

Finally, Report Cards – Students are to continue doing classwork through the last day of school, next Thursday, May 28th.   Students are receiving Credit, or No Credit for all classes as we have discussed in the past. You can see report cards live in ARIES on June 4th, after 5:00 pm after teachers have entered all grades. Please contact your grade level dean if you’d prefer an emailed PDF or mailed copy of the report card

Again – I hope you are all doing well and getting outside, enjoying some of the fresh air and staying active at this time.

Mr. Mayer
