The Claremont Knights’ flag football team jumped off to a fast start on Saturday, blitzing Sankofa Academy, 39-14, in the first game of the 2016 season. Coach David Doubley’s squad looked crisp in its debut, taking a 19-14 lead at halftime. And in the second half, the Knights’ lightening-quick defense dominated the game at Oakland High School. By the time the final whistle sounded, Claremont’s D had snatched an incredible seven interceptions.

Game 2 of the season is scheduled for noon on Saturday, Oct. 15 against Westlake Middle School on Oakland High’s football field. Please come and cheer on the Knights! And special shout-outs to Mr. Moore, Ms. Pagani, and Ms. Fortaleza for spending last Saturday afternoon at the game, supporting our students!
