BTSN is on August 29th and we’ve planned a longer evening than usual so that we can get more time in each classroom (per feedback we’ve received in the past). So plan to grab a bite to eat before or after! Here’s what you need to know:
1. Please park on the STREET or WALK to event. Due to the new field and using area outside of garden, parking on the schoolyard will not be available on Thursday.
2. Enter through the MILES GATE or via the BIRCH COURT GATE by the garden.
3. Please arrive with your child’s SCHEDULE. Students will be filling out their schedules during Advisory class on Thursday and bringing home. A map of the school will be on that printout.
Your child can also take a screenshot of their schedule and send to you if they have a phone.
If you can’t do any of the above, there will be a table outside the GARDEN to assist you. Maps of the school will be available as well.
4. Schedule for the evening:
5:00 – 5:30: (Optional) Come to the GARDEN to meet other CMS parents and our staff.
5:30 – 5:55: Mr. Mayer will speak and introduce the administration, staff and PTA president.
5:55: School bell schedule will begin and parents will go to their child’s period 1 class followed by period 2, etc. with 10 mins per class and 3 minutes for changing classrooms.Use your maps to help find your child’s classrooms.
Teachers will introduce themselves and if TIME PERMITTING will answer questions about their class.
7:30 – 8:00: (Optional) After period 7 is over, Mr. Mayer and the deans will be available for a Q&A back in the GARDEN. You will also have an opportunity to find out more about the after-school program, SSC, volunteering, buy a school t-shirt, and more.
