Claremont Boys and Girls Soccer is hosting an open scrimmage this Friday, Nov. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the field behind Chabot Elementary School (6848 Chabot Road, about a 15-minute walk east of Claremont Middle School). All Claremont Students are welcome to come out. We also need parent volunteers to help, so if you have a couple of hours, please drop by. If you have a uniform from last year, please wear it to school and to the scrimmage.
Tryout sign-ups: Tryouts will be held on a future date in December. Please see Edana Anderson in the office to sign up. We are hoping that all players who come out will be able to join the team, but this depends on how many students try out and how many coaches we can recruit.
Coaches: This year, Michael Santero and Stephanie Barnes are joined by Jamie Eder, Saravanan Chettiar, and Ms. Thatcher. However, if we decide to have two boys teams and two girls teams, we will need 1-2 more coaches.
Volunteers needed: We still need volunteers for the following positions: Team Managers (Boys and Girls teams), Photographers (for the weekly Knightline), End of season party coordinator. Please contact Michael at (510) 551-6622 (text and phone) if interested.
Equipment donations needed: The soccer team is in need of the following donations: Size 5 soccer balls, cleats, shin guards, goalie gloves, and emergency ice packs. Please drop off any donations to Ms. Anderson in the office.
