Our principal, Jonathan Mayer, will be recognized Thursday by the Oakland Unified School District as Middle School Principal of the Year.
“I would like to thank Claremont parents, guardians and all of the community for the support you have shown me over the past five years,” Principal Mayer said. “I couldn’t do this without you – the PTA’s financial and organizational support, the great parents and guardians volunteering with field trips, in the library and in classrooms and the support of the community. You have been there with me every step of the way.”
“I’d like to give a shout out to our incredible staff,” he said. “Fortunately, the majority will be back next school year so we can continue to build on our success.”
Principal Mayer will be honored Thursday at an event held by the school district.
