Good Afternoon Wonderful Claremont Families. School Starts in 2 days – yes two days!!!
This is Mr. Mayer with some important information regarding the start of the year.
Our wonderful teaching staff has been busy planning, and preparing during the summer and working together this week to ensure a smooth, strong, and soft start into the school year. What does this mean? We will use the first week to introduce whole-school expectations as well as some grade-level expectations. We will use the second week to introduce specific classroom expectations. We will use the third week forward with a good rigorous curriculum.
Thanks to the 400 plus families that were able to come to orientation – we appreciate it. If you were unable to join us for our Orientation last night, we have videoed it for you!! Please watch the Orientation on our Claremont Middle School website and on the distance learning page. It has invaluable information about the first day of school, student schedules, registration, Chromebooks, etc.
We look forward to seeing all students at grade level assemblies on Monday! 6th graders need to log on at 9:30 am; 7th graders need to log on to their assembly at 10:30 am; 8th graders need to log on at 11:30 am.
As we have discussed at the two garden side chats, the schedule will be different this year. Students will have three core classes and an advisory for 9 weeks, called a quarter. Quarter/Mini-Mester Schedule
Thank you so much for both the honor and privilege to teach your children, as well as the confidence to support your family during this stressful and difficult time.
Students, we look forward to seeing you all on Monday morning!
In partnership,
Mr. Mayer
