Thanks to Mr. Mateusiak for stepping up to coach this committed group of middle school runners. Claremont made a strong showing in the first OAL middle school meet at Lake Merritt on Saturday, Oct 1, with seven CMS runners participating. In the girls’ competition, Claremont students placed first and second overall, and all of our girls placed in the top five. Claremont students earned second and fourth place rankings in the boys’ competition, with all of our boys placing in the top 10.
Special thanks to Mr. Jones and the after-school program for getting the group registered, and to faithful parents who were able to support these students. We hope to have an even bigger group competing at the next OAL meet on Saturday, Oct 15. Go Knights!
