Claremont students should plan to come to school prepared.

And that means gathering the supplies needed for each grade.

Here’s a list of things students will need broken down by grade:

 

 6th Grade Students will need: 

    • 7 pencils (mechanical or wood are okay)
    • 2-3 pens of different colors (such as black, blue, red &/or green for class notes)
    • 1 handheld pencil sharpener (that holds shavings)
    • 2-3 highlighters (any color is fine)
    • Color Pencils (set of 10-12 colors)
    • 2-3 glue sticks
    • Lined binder paper (wide or college okay)
    • 1 three-ring binder (1”-3” inch is okay)
    • An Independent Reading Book (for English)

Claremont will provide the following (& therefore it is NOT needed):

*HW folder to carry HW and school bulletins

*Planner to record homework

*Math composition book

*Science composition book which stays in class

*English spiral bound notebook which stays in class

NOTE:

    • Label all supplies with student’s name in permanent marker
    • Send supplies in on the first day of school
    • Elective teachers may require additional school supplies after school begins
    • Students should not bring expensive or extra supplies; CMS is not responsible for lost or missing items

8th Grade Students will need:

  • Pencils, at least 3 at all times, Pens, at least 2 at all times
  • Folders
  • Pencil pouch
  • Binder (3 Ring 1-3 inches)
  • Dividers (or multiple folders)
  • An Independent Reading Book
    • Optional (Colored pencils, markers, scissors, ruler, non mechanical pencil sharpeners)
  • For individual classes(to be kept in class) – Science-2 composition books and a History-1 composition notebook
  • A benefit to all:
    Paper towel, tissues, Clorox wipes. (All items can either be given to your child’s advisory teacher, or to the office with Ms. Lefkowitz. If you are able to double the amount of supplies you buy, please bring the second group of supplies labeled 8th grade and please turn it into the office or give to Ms. Lefkowitz)!
